I finally did it. I got a smart phone. And I love it. Obviously.
Christmas was full of great entertainment, parties, friends, and adventures.

Christmas for the Masses

Remember how I got a new job?
Well, guess what? I LOVE it.
Just a little bit lot.

Starting in October, I was thrown into the fire of Christmas planning.
Yes. In October.

Christmas in BYU Athletics is kind of a big deal. And filled with lots of blue, silver, and white decorating. No red. Obviously.

Christmas planning has included:

• Department Party Planning
• Christmas Card Creating, Ordering, and Delivering (Total ordered: 6500)
• Kneaders Christmas Basket Ordering for University Contacts Gifts (Total ordered: 98)
• Poinsettia Ordering (Total ordered: 60)
• 12 Days of Christmas Charity Event Planning, Coordinating, and Delivering
• Athletic Department Gift Decided, Ordered, and Delivered
• University Gift Delivered
• Christmas Decorating

Yes. My Christmas has been busy already.
Not to mention a bazillion shopping trips. So many, in fact, that I have no desire to do my own Christmas Gift shopping. My Christmas Gift to you is this lovely blog update on my life. Conceited. I know.
But Merry Christmas.

With all of that ordering, my office, went from bad messy to worse messy.

But the decorating went underway, the cards were created, gifts were ordered, charity money started coming in, and and the poinsettias were delivered and are now dying. Gotta remember to water them...  

And of course major party planning proceeded.

1. Department Christmas Gift: Large Beach Umbrellas. Ready for the beach anyone? Yes.
2. Poinsettias

4. Office Decorations. Yes. Red. It's Christmas. Get off my back.
5. Christmas Card
6. Is decorating always this much of a pain??

The party was absolutely successful!
But wow, our group is growing. An expansion is definitely going to have to happen next year!

Party Decor and Tables:

A BYU Athletic Department completed with 500 Guests, Cosmo, Gingerbread Houses, Coloring, Sugar Cone Christmas Tree Decorating, and Minute to Win It Games.

After weeks and weeks of planning, coordinating, ordering, delivering, and decorating, my office is finally tidy, kind of. I'm almost Christmas-ed out, shopped-out and decorting-out, but boy,
I LOVE my job!

A Country Christmas

That's how I spent my holiday.

In the lovely country.

There's nothing like it. Believe me.

I miss it already.

It started off right with extreme sleigh riding.

Small Toyota Truck + a tow rope + an old car hood + an old car seat + large bolts 

= the perfect sleigh ride. 

almost.

Technically the Country Christmas season started the weekend after Thanksgiving when we traversed through the mountains to find this beauty:

Correction: My DAD traversed through the mountains to find this beauty. Briauna and Mom had broken appendages, Jill kept Dad company, while Kelli and I traversed the OTHER side of mountain thinking that we could find a better tree. Nope. Didn't happen. Maybe next year we'll actually be there to help Dad haul the tree out of the ravine and across the river and up the snowy hillside...

There's no better way to go caroling than on a hayride:

Then, for the first time since I was 3 years old, I got to play Mary in our 

"Reenactment of the Christmas Story." 

Maybe one of these years we'll have a few more wise men instead of wise women!

And then, with the little snow that we had, we again traversed the mountains but this time on machines!

And of course a Country Christmas would not be complete without some ice skating.

But the best part of a Country Christmas was being with my family!

Hope your Christmas was as Happy as Mine!

 

I knew it.

I knew if I made it look like it was snowing inside...

It would snow outside!! Wahoo!

Oh and just a side note:
Honey-flavored Greek Yogurt, Bananas and pomegranates is my new favorite breakfast!

It's Perfectly Acceptable

It's perfectly acceptable to:
thoroughly enjoy a light parade, catch candy, and getting excited about Christmas.

It's perfectly acceptable to:
take pictures of your dream home. If BYU paid me $1000 a hour, I would only have to work a little over a year to afford this home.

It's perfectly acceptable to:
get a kick out of cheesy marques.

It's perfectly acceptable to:
love having $100 (courtesy of BYU Soccer) to spend on dinner decorations. Yep. Best trip to Hobby Lobby EVER.

But most of all, it's perfectly acceptable to:
take a nap on the only tiny spot left on your bed after a long, crazy, fun, and busy week.

Thank goodness it's the weekend!

I Looked Out the Window and What Did I See

Well, tomorrow morning I hope to see a lot of this:

I'm ready to cuddle up with a little of this:

Gosh I love Christmas.

Wishing, Wanting, and Wreathing

According to pinterest, I'm obsessed with wreaths. Yep. I'd have to agree.

Wreaths for any occasion...

But mostly,
Wreaths for Christmas....

And speaking of which, I LOVE Christmas.  
I can't wait for it to be here!
I just need it to snow so Christmas music will be much more enjoyable to listen to...

I'm wishing and wanting it to snow so badly.

And to all you no-Christams-until-after-Thanksgiving-people,  

I LOVE Thanksgiving too.
I love giving thanks for all my many blessings, being with my wonderful family, and eating delicious food.

But aren't we also supposed to 
"Celebrate the Spirit of Christmas All Year Round?"

A Packaged Halloween

Halloween was quite an adventure this year! I had some great bonding moments with my roommates and some wonderful catching-up with old roommates!
We successfully made our own costumes from bubble wrap and duct tape! It was great!
Although we made these awsome costumes, we could really decide what we "were." After much deliberation, we came up with "A Package Deal!"
ha ha ha (Yes, that's meant to be funny)

And we had lots of fun messing around... (We put glow sticks in between the strips on our costumes for the dance! It was so cool looking!

These are some wonderful girls that I seriously miss SOOO much! But we had an amazing time at
THE HOWL!

And of course we had to mess around a little bit...

And then for old-times-sake, take a 2 a.m. outing to the Big D (aka- Dennys).

I love and miss you guys already!!!
